A lot of pieces had to be set in motion at the exact right times for Grace and Kenny's paths to cross. The major player that turned the world upside down, but was the catalyst for this love story was the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In May 2020, Grace blindly moved to Gulfport, Mississippi to work at WXXV as a news and sports reporter. Kenny was born and raised in Ocean Springs and had just recently moved to patrol for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Kenny and Grace eventually met through a mutual friend who worked at WLOX and had wrestled with Kenny at Ocean Springs High School.

After months of following Kenny on Instagram, Grace thought it was time to shoot her shot— only to be rejected. But for good reason. Kenny had a girlfriend at the time. That didn't last long.

A month later, Kenny slid back into Grace's DMs and the rest is history.
